What about cutting and discing, not just spraying?
Make them services with their own checklists and photo rules. Only the services you mark as spraying ask for a spray record.
How do I show where we sprayed along a road?
Draw the treated stretch on the map in the spray record. It's kept with the application, next to the GPS trail of the visit.
Does it work with no signal out on a lot?
Yes. Check-ins, photos and spray records are saved on the phone and sent when the signal comes back, with the time they really happened.
